Several weeks ago, I entered a new competition at UT. This competition’s goal was to “develop and spur an entrepreneurial spirit on campus.” You can check out the details here. After making it past 3 rounds, I won 3rd place out of 62 total contestants. While there was a cash prize, the money is not as worthwhile as having local business professionals choose my plan over so many others. As I graduate from college and make the transition into the business world, I hope that you’ll allow me the privilege of serving your business and its technology needs!

Perhaps this isn’t the official beginning, but it’s close enough. My undergraduate career at the University of Tennessee Knoxville comes to a close this week. I’ve been publicizing SJW Tech Services quite a bit, with people asking me about post-graduation plans and all. I’m incredibly excited about starting this new venture and providing technology support full-time. For 2 years, this has been an on-the-side / on-the-weekends business. Now, however, I get to pursue it on a full-time schedule.

Hopefully, through this blog, I can show my heart behind what I do. Yes, a part of business is making money and hopefully turning a profit, but I hope that you’ll get a glimpse of the passion I have for technology and the passion I have for helping people to use it.
